   Prices for this particular item varied widely with Amazon providing the best value. Item is obviously for light workouts but it does serve its purpose well. Tension control is a bolt shank against pedal crank hub so it can get very hot. The only negative to really speak of is that the unit has a tendency to slide away from you as you pedal, requiring constant repositioning. For a light duty unit to use while watching TV or taking a break in the office the Stamina 15-0120 InStride Cycle XL fits the bill.

   I work in an environment where we are chained to computer monitors and phone headsets most of the day. While there are many great things about my job, the total lack of physical activity is not one of them. So, we got together and purchased this item, which we can prop discreetly in our cubicles and pedal away at while typing or talking on the phone. (We have the advantage of a setup that allows us to raise or lower our keyboards and move our monitors a bit, so we can prop the Stamina against the cubicle wall and go to town. It’s not like it’s a huge workout or anything, but then again we don’t want anyone to hear us panting! And, because most of us are wearing headsets, we aren’t really bothered by the little squeaks others have described.)It is just enough exercise to get your heart pumping a little, and make you feel less sluggish. Each of us probably uses it for a half-hour to an hour a day, and when we’re done we just set it in a central location and whoever feels like it can take their turn. So, yeah…Low-tech,slightly squeaky (just reach down and adjust the knob), little resistance, but great for our pruposes!

   My daughter ordered this cycle for me to use after having a total knee replacement. It has been wonderful and gets used since I can sit and exercise at the same time without much effort.

   My husband fell off our grandson’s bike so I ordered the InStride Cycle as something he could use while indoors sitting on a chair. He’s not into a routine with it yet, but now that the holidays are nearly over, I’m hoping we’ll both get into a regular schedule.

   I’ve had this exerciser for about a year. Right away the side round silver holders came off and continue to come off, but the biggest drawback in the gear for adjusting the tension on how hard it pedals is so weak that it cracked and fails to work. On the plus side, I like how light it is and can be carried around wherever you decide to exercise.

   It’s a really good machine. It’s pretty basic but does the job. My hubby & I like to switch between the elliptical and stepper so it’s perfect for us. Would recommend again.

   We were interested in this item because of the ‘extended’ stride feature. However, due to the unclear written instructions, the product was difficult to assemble, and its usability was not very functional.

   In terms of value over cost effectiveness, the list price is not suitable for this machine. The Stamina is uncomfortable to achieve good cardiovascular exercise because the stride is not smooth, and the body is unsturdy. We think this is due to the quality of its parts or craftsmanship. For a small price difference, we found the Schwinn 430 Elliptical Trainer to be much better.

   Do not buy this product!!!!! I wish I could return it. The design is poor and you hit your knees on the handles as you exercise. You could injure yourself in a simple first attempt on this machine. Also, it does not have enough length and you have to stand with half your foot off the strider as you use the equipment, making the total experience more stressful on your legs and feet. I would not recommend this equipment for anyone.

   Don’t be fooled like me. This is my worst internet purchase.

   And obviously my trust in Amazon is very diminished…I expected that Amazon personnel would have at least evaluated the products that are sold in some way before allowing it to be sold. This product should be removed from your website. Not worth the money.

   I’m still using it, which I guess is the best one can hope. It had a small learning curve to get the desired workout, but I can get my breathing up quickly, and then work easier to maintain breath rate. I recommend the thing. Of course, its only for walking.

    High marks to Amazon because they were willing to refund my money. They even paid for the return. This treadmill shouldn’t be on anyone list. It’s simply not worth the money.

    With this guide, we were able to save 40% over the price at a local Flexsteel dealer for some custom ordered furniture. We wouldn’t have known where to order from without the guide. We saved several hundred dollars, offsetting the investment in the book many times over.

    This book saved us thousands. We could shop for the furniture we wanted, then call a few of the distributors listed in this book. It doesn’t take any longer to get shipped from NC distributors than it did to order specific items from a retailer. I just ordered the 2006 edition and look forward to saving much more!

    This book was completely vital in sifting through the hundreds of manufacturers and stores. If we did not have this book we would have had no clue what stores carried what manufacturers and which stores were worth going to. This had very nice reviews of the stores and even told you which ones to avoid.
