This is a good nightstand for what you pay for. It’s not the cheapest nightstand out there which is why I gave it 4 out of 5 stars (it’d get 5 if it were $20 cheaper).

It’s made of a high quality laminate particle board (as high “quality” as a particle board can get, anyways) that assembles very sharply together. I’ve had some bad experiences with other assembled furniture not fitting together quite the way I’d like. The handles have this antique look that’s just sweet. The drawers are large but the siderails and rollers are plastic (works perfectly fine but prefer metal). The height comes up even with standard metal frame + box + mattress. The tools you need to assemble is a hammer + phillips screwdriver (different sized heads makes it easier)

This is a copy of my review on the double dresser. I would have preferred more expensive bedroom furniture, but the staircase in this 125 year old house is too narrow and has too many corners to bring anything much larger than a coffee table upstairs. So… assemble-it-yourself has been the only way to go. I purchased the media stand from this collection first, and was pleased with the sturdy construction, the attractive finish and hardware, and ease of assembly. This dresser was no different, and I’m pleased with it for the price. The drawers glide easily (plastic runners) and have stops to prevent pulling them out too far, they’re plenty roomy. The ebony color is very dark chocolate and black with a soft satin gloss. It’s quite neutral and blends well with antique Persian carpets and Tiffany style lamps, though it would work with modern decor, too. Most of the pieces come with a touch-up marker to fix nicks or scratches. I’ve also purchased the tall chest, nightstand, and mirror. They’re all good, basic pieces to decorate around, and reasonably priced for what you get. I purchased the nightstand at US-Mattress.com through an Amazon link to external websites. They shipped promptly and their customer service was very helpful on another item that needed replacement.

Installed quick, everything included, couldn’t be happier. Very good shelf – I’ll buy another one when I mount another TV to the wall, for sure.

Easy to install, sturdy, handles the weight of our satellite receiver box with ease. Easily adjusted shelf. Fits perfectly with our 32″ TV on a tilt mount directly above. I’m impressed with price & product.

If mounted properly this is a great shelf. Very sturdy. We have it holding a satellite reciever and DVD player.

You could put something like this together for much less than it costs but if you’re short on time then these straps do the trick. I use them on all tall/heavy furniture that’s at risk of toppling in an earthquake or if baby climbs on them. They come in enough colors that I can match them to to the furniture and they don’t look too bad.

I only gave this product four stars for ease of installation. It will get five stars if the straps actually work during an earthquake, but hopefully I will never have to find that out. Yes you can buy your own straps and screws, but the part that attaches to your furniture here is velcro actually sewn in a very strong manner to the strap. It was easy to install, and the fact the velcro is sewn on and not just stuck on gives added security to the overall strength of the strap. Yeah they’re maybe a little pricey, but they’re quick and easy to install, and I’d rather buy these than deal with all my broken possessions if a big quake does hit my area. I used them on bookshelves, file cabinet, dressers, bedroom set w/ mirrored headboard.. Fast shipping from Grady’s Hardware too. Pretty happy overall.

My order came within five days. It was
very nice and sturdy. cardboard backing like a lot of bookshelves. Easy to put together, but the tacks used for the metal pieces that are attaced to the bookshelf were too small and the metal plates on the bookshelf kept coming off. We bought longer tacks and everythig was fine. My husband was so impressed at how the first one looked that we have ordered another one today.
